Queen's Jubilee Family Picnic
Wed 08 Jun 2022The Queen’s Jubilee Family Picnic will be going ahead tomorrow (Thursday 9th June) at 1:45pm. Adults will join their children at their classroom door and have a picnic on the Junior School field.
The children will eat lunch as normal, so please bring a light picnic for you to share with the children – please remember NO NUTS allowed, for the safety of children with allergies. Why not bring a picnic blanket if you have one for a comfortable spot on the field?
Children can come to school dressed in red, white or blue for the day, and the adults can dress up as kings or queens for the picnic if they want to (not compulsory)!
At the end of the picnic, children can go home as long as they are collected by a known adult. If your child attends the morning Nursery session, you are very welcome to come back at 1.45pm to join in but you must stay with your child and not drop them off.

RE: 5 to 11 vaccination programme in NW London
Dear Parents and Guardians
The Covid vaccination has now been approved for all children aged 5 to 11 by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immmunisation (JCVI).
The Covid vaccination for the 5 to 11 age group is offered as a lower dose (10 micrograms) of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
In London and the UK we are experiencing an increase in Covid cases among the population and so it is important for all eligible groups to have the vaccine to help stop the virus causing severe infection, particularly in young children, older age groups and the more clinically vulnerable.
Where can I go to get a vaccine for my child?
In North West London, vaccinations for 5-11 year olds began on Monday 4 April 2022 and there are two ways in which to get your child vaccinated.
- Use the National Booking Service to book a local vaccination site
- Bookings can be made through the National Booking Service: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination
- Use the Grab a Jab website to find a location that offers a walk-in session.
- Parents and Guardians can find a list of available sites through the Grab A Jab walk-in page. www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/find-a-walk-in-coronavirus-covid-19-vaccination-site/
- The grab a jab website is continually updated with new locations so we encourage you to check the website regularly.
