Children are given the opportunity to work as individuals and in groups to develop knowledge and understanding in:

• developing, planning and communicating ideas
• working with simple tools, equipment, materials, mechanisms and structures to make models and products
• evaluating their work

The end product could be a model, a structure, some sewing or something they have cooked.
