Mathematics comes into almost all activities and situations.  We aim to make the children aware of how important mathematics is and to help them to enjoy this subject, to be confident and to have skills in using mathematics in everyday life.

Within the classroom we emphasise the use of mathematics in problem solving and investigations.  We maintain a balance between practical and written work, and promote the development of mental strategies to assist in the raising of standards in numeracy.
