Religious Education
For Religious Education, we use the agreed syllabus of the Hillingdon Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE).
The school’s philosophy is to develop in children an insight into, and understanding of, social, moral and religious thinking through project work, daily classroom activities and assemblies.
We believe that it is the family’s role to initiate and train their children in particular beliefs or faiths.
We base our teaching on tolerance, empathy and understanding of all religions – however we emphasise Christian belief. We celebrate the major festivals of religions reflected in our school community, but with more detailed and continuous observance of Christian festivals.
If you wish to have your child withdrawn from religious education or assembly, please speak to the Head Teacher.
